Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Rhone Valley, Philippe Bouchard et Fils

Since the 14th century when the Popes developed Chateauneuf as their summer palace, the wines of the area have been amongst the best known of the Rhone Valley. Made from Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre grown in pebbly soils, the wine has a lovely deep colour, is full of fruit and flavour and is best enjoyed with steak, pork and game meats.
