Quinta Generacion Red Blend, Colchagua Valley, Casa Silva

This special limited edition cuvee was made to celebrate five generations of winemaking by the Silva family in the Colchagua Valley, widely regarding as the place now producing the most complex and sophisticated wines in all of Chile. A superb blend of handpicked grapes from small plots of very old vines. Aged in new French oak barriques. Intense, dark ruby red with violet hues. On the nose, powerful with notes of blackberries, toffee and fudge. On the palate, soft, sweet tannins, round, balanced acidity, very good structure with black fruit and blueberry notes, a long long finish. A collector’s wine with great aging potential.
