The Passion, persistence and ruthless determination of Donald Hess drove him on to plant a vineyard at the highest altitude in the world at 3111metres above sea level (10200ft). Our wines represent the highest expression of Malbec, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.

Sauvignon Blanc is the white variety that best adapts itself to the extreme conditions of Altura Máxima: it sprouts after the late frosts in spring and ripens before the early frosts in autumn.

The poor and stony soil produces a very high quality and sophisticated grape. The scent of white fruits and minerals is enhanced by an elegant herbal touch. Since 2005, Winemaker Thibaut Delmotte has crafted wines of distinction and international acclaim for Bodega Colomé, while staying true to its French origins.
