USA

The history of growing classic European varieties of vitis vinifera in the Napa Valley dates back to the 1970s and owes a lot to the Duckhorn couple, who run the now famous vineyard of the same name. With the advent of steam engines, a newcomer from America, phylloxera, nearly killed the European wine industry, and certainly changed its face forever. Today, however, California is one of the most valued producers of Merlot and Cabernet in the world, and is also famous for Zinfandel, a New World variety of Primitivo, which is so popular in Poland. In addition to the Duckhorn winery, which boasts labels served at Barack Obama’s inaugural dinner, we are also pleased to offer such excellent wines as the World’s End labels, which are a project of the renowned Saint Emillon producer, Jonathan Maltus. The quality and small number of bottles produced make every World’s End wine worth putting away in the cellar or giving to a wine lover for a special occasion.
