Portugal

If we look at the wine map of Portugal, we will notice that virtually all of its area is divided into wine-growing regions. This small country, enclosed by the Atlantic Ocean in the west and the mountain ranges forming the border with Spain in the east, has three climatic zones – coastal, continental and mountain, and a wealth of diverse terroirs. As if that wasn’t enough, many local, endemic varieties are still grown in Portugal, which makes the wines from there even more interesting. This is where the world-famous port wine comes from, but also a whole range of white and red wines representing various styles, whose common thread today is great value for money.
